New Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power trailer reveals Sauron, a Balrog, and more coming to Middle-earth in the Amazon series

the Lord of the Rings will arrive on the small screen in the not too distant future, but the new trailer for the power rings The series is far from small. The three-minute trailer (seen above) packs more action and adventure than the footage released just over a week ago. Not only does it reveal more about the new characters coming to the series, but also about some of the iconic villains that the Lord of the Rings viewers will recognize it. Look!

The first releases of Amazon Prime Video (opens in a new tab) The series alluded to evil on the way to Middle-earth, which appeared to be Sauron, but it wasn’t clear how far the first season would go to introduce it when season 2 was already guaranteed. Now viewers no longer have to wait for the premiere of the show for this confirmation of Sauron in power rings. There are still a lot of questions about the growing threat, but at least this big answer!

The trailer, released as part of the San Diego Comic-Con presentation for the upcoming series, not only hints at Sauron, but specifically names him just over a minute in the footage. We also seem to see some glimpses of Sauron’s armor, albeit in shadow. He isn’t even the only villain to appear in the trailer.

It is now clear that the orcs will be a problem for Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and the others who will fight the forces of evil in power ringswhat is the other the Lord of the Rings article that was not guaranteed at full power only in the first season. Furthermore, the trailer ends with an incredible look: a ferocious Balrog roaring out of the darkness, presumably deep in Khazad-dúm (also known as the fortress later known as the Mines of Moria), has already been confirmed.

There is more to recognize in the trailer besides the iconic villains. Less than a minute later, Queen Regent Miriel (played by Cynthia Addai-Robinson) discovers a palatir for Galadriel. One of those who saw the stones obviously played a key role in the the Lord of the Rings trilogy of films, and it looks like Galadriel won’t see anything particularly reassuring when using it. “Evil does not sleep” in fact!

And there are even more! What looks like a Nazgul sword seems to take shape about 90 seconds later, although that’s speculation at this point. There are also five sword-wielding men, perhaps with more around them, which could make them bearers of the nine rings given to men. Prince Durin IV (Owain Arthur) holds a ring of about two minutes, which is presumably one of seven given to the dwarves.

All in all, there is a lot to absorb, speculate and question after this trailer, but the one thing that is very safe to say is that the Elves will get their “days of peace” wrong. “, and probably Elrond (Robert Aramayo) It won’t be long before he loses his smile. However, viewers with an Amazon Prime subscription who are excited about the upcoming series have reason to smile: the wait. power rings it is not much longer.

The Lord of the Rings: The rings of power opens Friday 2nd September. Episodes will be released weekly instead of ditching the entire season at once, so fans won’t be able to binge-watch them right from the start. There’s only a little over a month to wait, you can always check out an HBO Max membership to review all three the Lord of the Rings Movie.
