I had the opportunity to speak with Val Chmerkovskiy before dance with the starsseason 31 finale, and we talked about everything from his chances of becoming a TAKE A STEP one day judge Gabby Windey’s performance this season. Suffice to say, Chmerkovskiy had nothing but good things to say on the latter matter, noting one facet of Windey’s personality in particular:
I am very proud of her. I think that’s one of the most impressive things about her. Between this newfound fame and the chaos that ensues, she continues to be humble and herself, working hard and focusing on what’s at hand. Obviously, I’m keeping a tight ship, so I don’t think she was lucky enough to get distracted. You have to be fully committed to get to the end.
Gabby Windey was focused, according to Val Chmerkovskiy, and that’s not hard to believe from her performances. The duo scored perfect scores on their final three dances and are neck and neck with the other eventual favourites. There’s a good chance he’ll win the Mirrorball Trophy this season, though fellow contestants Charli D’Amelio, Wayne Brady, and even Shangela may be upset.
