Music and drones. An extraordinary concert, free, occurred in Place Saint-Pierre in Rome, this Saturday, September 13 at night.
This particular show came to close the cycle of the “World Meeting on Human Fraternity”, launched in October 2020, after the publication of Pope Francis “Fratelli Tutti” (“All the brothers”).
The headlines such as the artist Pharrell Williams, the Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, the composer John Legend or even the singer Angélique Kidjo, among others, occurred on stage, acclaimed by the public.

At the same time, 3,500 drones illuminated the Roman sky, in an impressive show, even revealing a portrait of Pope Francis.
Pope Léon XIV did not attend the concert, but still, earlier in the day, he thanked the artists.
“The world is marked by conflicts and divisions and you are united with a strong and brave ‘no’ to war and ‘yes’ to peace and fraternity […] I would like to thank the artists who, thanks to their creativity, will transmit this message to everyone, “he said.

This concert, which had been announced during the summer, had been quickly complete. This Saturday night, it was broadcast live on several American and Italian channels.
