Buckingham Palace had indicated then that “after a busy day yesterday, Her Majesty accepted the advice of the doctors this afternoon to rest. This means that the meeting of the Privy Council that was to take place tonight will be rearranged.”
It is not the first time that the queen has changed her habits due to her state of health in recent weeks. For example, she decided to stay at Balmoral, her summer residence in Scotland, rather than return to Buckingham Palace. This is where the first meeting between Elizabeth II and the new British Prime Minister Liz Truss was organized.
