The Talk’s Amanda Kloots talks about her first Christmas movie and collaboration with Hallmark legend Paul Greene

The holiday season is just around the corner, and CBS is embracing all things happy and bright with a movie that could make everyone extra festive when the credits roll. suitable for christmas will arrive in TV show 2022 December 4 with The conversationAmanda Kloots ahead against Hallmark’s Paul Greene. Kloots opened in Gossipify suitable for christmas as his first Christmas movie, as his Broadway experience and work with Greene helped.

Amanda Kloots is already a familiar face to CBS fans as co-host of The conversationwho joined full-time at the end of 2020 . In suitable for christmasplays a fitness instructor named Audrey who is obsessed with Christmas in the town of Mistletoe, Montana. The dashing Griffin (played by Paul Greene) comes to town with a business plan for the beloved community center where Audrey teaches, and it seems safe to say that not everyone will be feeling the holiday spirit as much as everyone else in the world!

Playing Audrey in a Christmas movie is, of course, a far cry from The conversationwhich has been in operation since 2010 with a variable list of hosts . When Amanda Kloots spoke to Gossipify about her new project, she explained what her experience was like of her going from a talk show to a scripted film:

Well, I knew I wanted to prepare as best I could to get back into this acting world that I’ve known since my Broadway days, but I’ve definitely never been a star in a movie. So I had an acting coach that I hired about a month before filming started, to jog my memory and everything and how to do these scenes and everything, and she was wonderful. Her name is Lesly Kahn and she really helped me prepare.

Before coming to Los Angeles, Kloots was in Broadway and Radio City Rockette productions, so acting was nothing new to her. Acting as a movie lead is very different from what she did before her and an acting coach was able to help her prepare for the holiday movie.

Amanda Kloots, who is also now a famous fitness trainer with definitely useful training skills suitable for christmas She went on to say that her Broadway experience “absolutely” helped her film the project, explaining:

The best thing about Broadway is that it prepares you for everything in life. I’ve been on camera and done film and TV before, so it wasn’t like I was a fish out of water, but it was definitely a new challenge to play the lead role in a film and have that weight and responsibility to be number one in a call list. Broadway is so much discipline and long hours and rehearsals and wanting to do well and everything. I think that’s what’s really helpful on set: these long days, remembering lines, reacting quickly, getting better, I think it’s all helpful because of my Broadway background.

suitable for christmas (which she also produced) may not be a musical, but the skills that served her so well in the theater translated into her work in her first TV movie. Also extended trailer because the movie reveals that Amanda Kloots will not only be able to bring her signature fitness style to the small screen, but she’ll also be part of a good ol’ kickline!

The actress also had a leading lady who is well versed in Christmas movies. Paul Greene has acted in a variety of branded movie included a Christmas detour, Christmas at the Angel FallsYes Christmas CEO, to name a few. Also student of network. when the heart callsbrought a lot of vacation experience to suitable for christmas. When asked what it was like to work with him as a veteran of the genre, Kloots replied:

The legend of Christmas cinema! He was the best. He was the most wonderful co-star I could wish for. He never made me feel nervous or anxious or that he had ten years under his belt and I was new. He was the most generous and kind human being, now forever friend and stage partner. [that] he could have asked. i like the boy [and] I can’t say enough good things about him.

Amanda Kloots has done nothing but praise Paul Greene (who recently intervened in the Candace Cameron Bure controversy ) as a stage partner, although her character might not make such a positive impression on Audrey de Kloots when they first met! Sure, with the film celebrating the Christmas season in a town called Mistletoe, can a businessman focus only on business? And can Audrey do Christmas magic?
