Hollywood is in mourning again after that Health Veterinarian Kirstie Alley died after being diagnosed with colon cancer. Many actors and friends of the the queens shout stars paid tribute, from Ted Danson to John Travolta and beyond. Now, dance with the stars veterans Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Tom Bergeron join them.
The dance with the stars pro teamed with Kirstie Alley for two seasons, finishing season 12 as runners up and they were also in the All-Stars edition until season 15 and were the seventh pair to go home. Maksim Chmerkovski took to Instagram to share a lengthy and introspective Instagram post detailing their sometimes tumultuous friendship rollercoaster, saying he wished he had more time with her.
According to me! The pair reportedly split after competing in the dance competition together, but it seems that whatever happens between the two, Kirstie Alley will always have a place in Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s heart. And as stated in her post, she hopes that one day they will meet again in a spiritual sense, and she believes there will be a sense of peace if that ever happens.
Meanwhile, the old man TAKE A STEP Host Tom Bergeron also took the time to share a loving tribute to the beloved actress. Bergeron also took to Instagram for her sweet memory of Kirstie Alley, which involved an unscripted congratulatory kiss at the premiere of dance with the stars‘ All-Star Season, the night after winning the Emmy for Outstanding Host.
Even if it was a brief moment, it’s good that Tom Bergeron has this memory with him forever, and not just in his mind, but also archived forever online. It’s a sweet memory that, even though it happened ten years ago, hasn’t quite faded from Bergeron’s memory, and probably never will, especially now. And who knows how many other memories he made with Kirstie Alley off screen?
Kirstie Alley was among the many A-listers who were cast on season 12 of dance with the stars, alongside Ralph Macchio, Wendy Williams and Chelsea Kane, to name a few. He returned a few seasons later to participate in All-Star seasons, which included Drew Lachey, Shawn Johnson, Pamela Anderson and Joey Fatone. Though it had been a while since Alley had been on the show, she obviously hadn’t left the vets and left an indelible mark.
Season 32 of dance with the stars There’s no Disney+ premiere date yet, but it wouldn’t be surprising if there was an homage to Kirstie Alley in one way or another. Maksim Chmerkovskiy left the show as a pro after season 25, but it’s possible he could return to the Disney+ series as a special guest if there’s a tribute to his former partner.
Regardless of relationships, Kirstie Alley has touched many lives, friends and fans. Through the magic of television and movies, your memory will live on forever. Our condolences from her to her loved ones and to all those who loved her.
