Meghan and Harry denied this weekend through their spokesperson that harry and meghanhis documentary series produced for Netflix, contradicted his decision to distance himself from his royal obligations.
“His statement announcing his decision to retire [de la famille royale] mentions nothing about private life and insists on her desire to continue her public roles and duties,” Ashley Hansen said in the New York Times.
“They decide to share their story in their own words, however they want, and the tabloids create a completely false story that is then spread through news articles and public opinion. However, the facts are there.”
“A political problem”
A British MP from the Conservative camp, Bob Seely, also announced last week that he wanted to introduce a bill in parliament to strip Harry and Meghan of their royal titles.
The Isle of Wight MP said he decided on the bill long before the documentary was released, calling Harry’s public statements “a political issue” two years after he split from the royal family.
This series, where they settle scores with British tabloids and portray a racist and intolerant UK, has drawn widespread criticism in the UK.
