Recently, the pop star has been venturing into new creative outlets and has directed and written her own music videos. In particular, the video for “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” works like a short film, with Dylan O’Brian and Sadie Sink acting their hearts out. Now she’s ready to step into the big leagues to direct and write her first feature film, and her fans are already speculating what she might be up to.
This weekend, Variety reported that Swift will be making her directorial debut with Searchlight Pictures. While it might seem like a surprising move, for fans of her work, Swift’s transition to film seems like the natural next step. Directing music videos, a common starting point for many directors, she has also weaved detailed narratives throughout her music. One Swift story that caught the attention of Swifties is from her song “Last Great American Dynasty”. Surprisingly, the song is not a love story and follows the story of their Rhode Island home.
Swift has already said that she likes the idea of ’Last Great American Dynasty’ as a movie, and her friends Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively also seem to agree. In 2020, one fan tweeted about the idea of a movie based on the song with these three actors involved, saying:

Ferguson responded, apparently relishing the idea, saying:

While this adorable interaction seemed like a fun demonstration, now that Swift is filming a movie, one user has discovered the interaction, wowing fans. This could be Swift’s chance to make our dream movie ‘The Last Great American Dynasty’. One Twitter user suggested using the Rhode Island house as a background, saying:
If Taylor is making a Last Great American Dynasty movie, he doesn’t even need to build a set, he already has one.
