Prince William and his wife Kate on Tuesday shared the photo that will appear on their Christmas card this year.
In it, the Prince and Princess of Wales appear as a family, holding hands with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis on a sunny day in Norfolk.
“New family photo for this year’s Christmas card!” William and Kate captioned this family portrait on Instagram.
A difficult year 2022
This photo was taken by Matt Porteous. Accustomed to the royal family, the photographer had already taken the official photo of Prince George for his fifth birthday, but also the photos of Prince Louis’s christening, as well as the family’s Christmas card in 2020.
According to BBC, the princely couple did not specify the date this photo was taken. Last year, William and Kate selected a snapshot of their family during a visit to Jordan for their greetings card.
These Christmas celebrations close a difficult year for the British royal family, marked by the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8 at the age of 96.
In early December, the crown was also rocked by the release of the Harry and Meghan documentary on Netflix. The couple, who left their role in the royal family to settle in California, remarkably returns to the “harassment” of the British press against them and their discord with the rest of the family.
