Where is the Real Steel franchise currently and why has the Disney+ series taken so long to get going

Starting a franchise after years without it new movie release It’s not easy. Devoted fans are a must when it comes to stoking the fire for the future of something like director Shawn Levy. real steel. Sure enough, more than a decade later, the Hugh Jackman-starring sci-fi flick has people wanting more, and Levy recently clarified where the Charlie and Max Kenton saga currently stands, along with his robot him.

It’s true that it’s been a while since it was announced Disney+ (opens in a new tab) I was interested in a real steel series. But it’s actually intentional, and I learned that while interviewing Shawn Levy on press day for Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Reborn Again. Explaining why this idea has taken so long to get going, Levy provided this update from Gossipify:

Let’s be very clear: We are not currently developing a sequel to Real Steel. The Real Steel TV series for Disney+ is in very active development. … Like Night at the Museum, I’m strangely protective of these franchises that I’ve created. So, just like it took many years to make the next Night at the Museum film, it took a lot of arguments, a lot of ideas that I rejected, to come up with a plan that I’m passionate about now. Real Steel is therefore in active development on Disney+, and as you mentioned, Deadpool 3 is next.

whether or not real steel The series will incorporate work writer John Gatins has done into a possible sequel in 2011 that remains to be seen. Though judging by the comments Levy made above, the answer is more than likely no. Indeed, it seems that the storyline of the project is still being reconstructed, most likely from a central idea that lies in the middle.

This new information is in the middle of where real steel move forward with great enthusiasm. Previously, the director noted that the possibility of a sequel was still on the table, with the possible involvement of Hugh Jackman . However, that potential is at least in the background, with the Disney+ series being the real priority. Right after Deadpool 3Certain, that we know reunites Levy with Jackman Yes free boy/The Adam Project Stella Ryan Reynolds.

“Priority” is a buzzword when discussing both this robotic boxing cult hit and the Night at the museum series. While Levy has a pretty comprehensive dance card, e Deadpool 3 is the next film in this lineup, the personal touch is always something the director visits in his franchises. Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Reborn Again is a clear example of such an approach, since also manage the fan favorite character of Robin Williams Theodore Roosevelt shows how much Shawn Levy cares about the projects he directs.

This latest news does not suggest when we will see the real steel the series is entering production. However, he remains hopeful when he realizes that Levy and his team are still tinkering in the garage with a new creature of entertainment. We’ll have to keep an eye on how things evolve from here forward, but so far it seems that whenever this project kicks off, it will be worth the wait.

Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Reborn Again is currently airing, in addition to several other entries in the series, for Disney+ subscription Meanwhile, if you want to review real steelyou’ll need an HBO Max subscription to watch this particular title.
