Aubrey Plaza, for example, ended up getting lost walking with a co-star, which must have been especially scary and hilarious for her since they were both shroomed.
Meghann Fahy recently appeared Late Night with Seth Meyers to tell a hilarious story about getting lost on an excursion to Italy with Aubrey Plaza during filming the white lotus Season 2. The Parks and Amusement Alum then appeared in a later episode to tell the story because he felt there was a huge lack of context when Fahy said she yelled at Italian bikers during the adventure. Meyers asked the Criminal Emilia protagonist of the story, then replayed it with the previously omitted information that Fahy and Plaza were taking psychedelic mushrooms when all of this happened:
Yes, I saw her on her show, because I watch her show, and she left out the most important part, which was that we were on mushrooms… And then when she told the street story, and all these Italians are on motorcycles , and Aubrey would say, “Don’t look at me! i was tripping! It was terrifying.
In the original story, it might appear that Aubrey Plaza was frustrated that she and Fahy disappeared and went after random people. In reality, she was just addicted to psychedelic mushrooms, and she was a little scared that some random people were riding motorcycles while they were having this experience.
And while not everyone may know what it’s like to ride psychedelic mushrooms, Aubrey Plaza was able to paint a picture by explaining what’s on her mind when Italian men hang out. It seems that she felt like she was filming Star Wars opposite of the white lotus because he was afraid of turning to the “dark side”:
We got lost on a road and there were some Italians saying “vroom, vroom”, as if they were coming towards me. I thought they were taking me to the dark side. Like, I was about to move… I was tripping, bitch.
Of course, Aubrey Plaza didn’t know why Meghann Fahy withheld this important information from her report. However, after a brief exchange with Seth Meyers, she thought it might be because her parents were present when Fahy was at the Late Night with Seth Meyers. I’m not sure many people want to blame themselves for doing drugs in front of their parents, especially during a national television interview.
As for the show the two actresses have been on, season 2 of the white lotus has been a huge hit in the 2022 TV lineup. While season 3 finally hits HBO for anyone with a Maximum HBO subscription , it seems we may never get all the answers we want regarding Aubrey Plaza and Meghann Fahy’s characters. Like, did Cameron and Harper do more than share a kiss, and did Ethan and Daphne hook up as well?
