I get invited to a lot of Hollywood premieres and events, but that’s not really my scene. But Avatara? I had to introduce myself, especially when my friend Jim invited me. And I have to bring my loved ones! When I got to the theater with my cousins, I saw Jim’s wife, Susie, and she suggested I get some Kleenex because she gets very emotional. Thankfully I listened to her, because trust me, I needed that Kleenex. Adding to the excitement, Jim once again built a whole new world that blew my mind. I won’t give anything away, but I loved the movie. I don’t know how he does it, but I came away impressed once again. Every scene was perfect. Also, critics praised the path of the water , with many citing her stunning visuals and impeccable performances as highlights of the film. I think most would agree that it’s not bad, especially in the age of COVID. Certainly, the cast and crew are also hoping that subsequent follow-ups will have the same level of success.
One can’t help but wonder if Arnold Schwarzenegger himself would consider joining the sci-fi franchise at some point. He’d be a good fit and could bring a good deal of gravitas and physics to any role he takes on. It’s hard to say whether I would sign or not one of James Cameron’s sequels , however. The production of the saga has been a long one and, although Schwarzenegger clearly admires the craft of his friend of his, he may not want to play in this sandbox. But who knows, maybe the two will reunite for a story set on Pandora or another production. Either way, I just hope their beautiful friendship stays strong and maybe gets Schwarzenegger to see a few more first.
