a number of Right fans were heartbroken when it was confirmed that Anthony Anderson’s Kevin Bernard would not be returning for season 22. It was an unexpected development, considering Anderson’s retaliation helped him get through the end of blackish. Fans are most likely hoping that the actor will return to playing the New York detective sooner or later. Now, months after leaving the show, the THIS the alum considered whether to return to the long-running NBC drama.
Anthony Anderson’s involvement in the revival Right The series helped her to gain ground before her premiere, which is understandable given its popularity it stems from blackish. The hit ABC series even awarded the 52-year-old actor as a Disney legend at this year’s Disney’s D23 Expo. However, when it comes to a return to NBC legal drama, he told Gossipify at D23 that such a thing should be determined by the man who created this massive legal process franchise, Dick Wolf:
Well, you know, it’s up to Dick Wolf and NBCUniversal. I wouldn’t have had a problem coming back, but we wanted to test the waters and see what else was out there and develop new things.
It seems that at that moment Anthony Anderson was ready to do certain things on his terms. Being part of a large television franchise can take a long time, especially when there are multiple crossover episodes per season. The desire to develop and host new shows, including an hour-long drama, was mentioned earlier Miraculousthat’s why Anderson left after a season.
But, unsurprisingly, his departure from the NBC franchise doesn’t mean there are grudges between him and the Law and order family. We will miss him because former co-star Odelya Halevi said working with him was an incredible experience, while locals will miss Jeffrey Donovan calling his co-star by name in public. So when you read all this peer love, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Det. 52 years old. Actor Bernard went on to say that he would be willing to return if the show had it:
But I love the franchise. I love the people I have worked with from my first incarnation to the last. So yes, yes. You know, in the world of Law & Order you never know what’s going on [it].
For my part, I’d love to see Kevin Bernard in the 27th arrondissement again, and wouldn’t be surprised if he comes back if the show lasts a while. Hey, after all, Elliot Stabler is back in the franchise after being away for a decade. So Det. Bernard will simply appear inside Law and order Or the title of a future spin-off perhaps?
More immediately, however, the revival won’t give Anthony Anderson’s Bernard a big goodbye, instead addressing his absence with a brief mention in season 22. The future looks bright for Anderson and the NBC franchise, and we can’t just hope that the two roads will cross again one day.
Law and order Season 22 airs September 22 at 8 p.m. ET. on NBC and is just one of many TV shows fans are looking forward to for the 2022-23 TV season.
