As he prepares to become a father for the second time on television, first in Criminal minds And so on TO BREAK, Shemar Moore has announced that he will become a father in real life and on a very special day. He now he adorably talks about it in a new interview.
Appearing in The Jennifer Hudson Showthe TO BREAK star announced the happy news. He also spoke about the fulfillment of a dream of his mother, who died almost three years ago. And this will excite you:
So, I’m Shemar Moore, 52 1/2 years old; my mom is in heaven right now. February 8th will be her third birthday and February 8th she will make one of her dreams come true. Because in real life, Shemar Moore is about to be a dad.
Having always been close to his mother, and since her passing, the Moore home has become a tribute to her. It definitely feels like fate that he was about to welcome her baby the day he lost her mother, and I honestly can’t think of a more fitting tribute to her.
Since Moore celebrated her 52nd birthday last year, she’s worried the time to have kids has passed, but luckily time was on her side. Even though her mother won’t be there to celebrate with him, she knows things always work out:
I’m so excited. I’m sorry I can’t be here. For a while I worried that maybe this ship sailed into something like this. And you know, God supports me. Things have lined up and my life is pretty good, but I know that every time God calls my name, once I have that experience, I can go to heaven.
It’s always exciting to welcome a new bundle of joy into your life, and it’s even more special when you weren’t sure it would be possible to have children. Shemar Moore is more grateful than ever, and the fact that her baby was born on such an emotional day only adds to those feelings. With any luck, Baby Moore’s due date will be honored and she will be welcomed into the world the day her grandmother passed away.
Though Shemar Moore is waiting, he made sure to avoid having a father’s body first TO BREAKThe sixth season of ‘s, and it is likely that he knew then that he himself would become a father. Given that CBS’ Procedural is a pretty demanding series in terms of action, it makes sense that it wants to keep in shape. But maybe once he’s a dad and the show goes on hiatus, maybe his father’s body will show up for the first time since he’s been a dad? We can dream.
During this time your TO BREAK character Hondo is also preparing to welcome a baby girl, and since it looks like Moore will beat him, it should be interesting to see if anything from his real life mirrors his character. Since they’re both going to be #girldads, I can only imagine what it’s like to be able to celebrate being a dad both on and off screen. Maybe even celebrate with a cornhole.
If Shemar Moore will miss an episode of TO BREAK it’s unknown after her baby was born, but that wouldn’t be surprising. It’s possible, depending on which episode they’re shooting, that they’re just writing it there, and Hondo will also be missing some of the work to be with Nichelle and the baby. Either way, these next few episodes will definitely be something to look forward to as the pair get closer to welcoming Baby Harrelson.
