Chicago Med’s Goodwin just took bold action, but will it backfire in the next disastrous episode?

Spoilers ahead for episode 12 of Chicago Mediterranean Season 8, titled “We all know what they say about guesses.”

Chicago Mediterranean definitely does not drop the story with Jack Dayton integrate new technologies throughout the hospital, with some characters accepting upgrades far more than others. Last week’s episode saw Anna Climb Doorman have problems with technology having control over the care they provide, e nice win I was ready to fight with Dayton and the Chiefs if that’s what it takes. In “We All Know What They’re Saying About Assumptions,” Goodwin gave him an ultimatum and emerged victorious, but a preview of a disastrous upcoming episode begs the question: Will it backfire?

Archer was even less cooperative with technology than usual in episode 12 when he and croquette I had to have surgery on OR 2.0. As expected after its connection to Dayton and success with OR 2.0, Crockett tried to reason with the ED boss, but Archer had no patience and attacked, damaging some very expensive equipment. This, combined with his general attitude towards Dayton and the new technology, caused Dayton to decide to fire him, giving him thirty minutes to pack up and leave campus. Archer took it pretty well, but Goodwin wasn’t ready to let it go.

Once he heard that, he confronted Dayton and called him out for making a call that should have been his, and pleaded Archer’s defense. When the owner stopped by and insisted that his decision was final, he drew a line in the figurative sand: If Dayton was going to get rid of Archer, he had to get rid of her, too. This was enough for Dayton to relent and let Archer stay, with the caveat that “if he crosses the line again, it’s your fault.” it’s good to know Hannah isn’t the only one supporting Archer !

Now, Dayton is usually a pretty reasonable person when someone convinces him that patient care should come before business…even though, admittedly, it might require some serious intervention. Hannah only made him listen to the need to get involved in the Department of Public Health’s new program on hospital partnerships for postpartum well-being at home by storming into a board meeting and yelling at him.

Hannah was motivated to drop out of school after having to undergo a full hysterectomy on a 26-year-old woman who dreamed of having a large family, which could have been avoided if she had access to the show. Dayton was convinced of this and gave him the go-ahead to enlist them; Is this a sign that he won’t blame Goodwin for standing up for what he believed was best for the hospital?

We may not have to wait any longer than the next episode to get that question answered, as it seems Goodwin has another stand to take against Dayton. Check out the promotion:

The storm of the century is coming Chicago Mediterranean, with at least a partial power outage. Based on Goodwin saying “I won’t let you send people,” one of them may have to bend or break on the matter. The last shot of the preview shows that disaster will come in the hospital, which seems to agree with Goodwin, but it certainly seems like there will be a conflict with the disaster in the next episode.

Unfortunately, fans have to wait a while to find out how they’ll weather the storm. The next episode of Chicago Mediterranean airs Wednesday, February 8 at 8 p.m. ET, first chicago fire at 21:00 and Chicago Police at 10pm If you need viewing options during the next Free Weeks of One Chicago, check out our 2023 TV premiere schedule !
