Seth Rogen, Chelsea Handler and other celebrities hilariously respond to request to pose in front of Critics’ Choice ridiculous cold stone wall

On January 15, five days after the announcement of the 80th Golden Globe winners, the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards will take place, with another awards season to follow. But we’re not here to talk about who won the trophies that night. Instead, it’s time to talk about the ridiculous Cold Stone wall that was installed at the event and how celebrities like Seth Rogen and Chelsea Handler responded when asked to pose in front.

Official Penn’s Instagram account (this is not the real Sean Penn, he keeps his account verified) posted a series of photos from Getty Images of actors Andrew Garfield, Kate Hudson, Aubrey Plaza, Jeremy Allen White, Natasha Lyonne and Henry Winkler standing. in front of a wall at the Critics’ Choice Awards sponsored by Cold Stone Creamery, a US-based ice cream shop. As some of you may be wondering, the title of this Instagram post asks what was the deal with this setup, e.g. “Were those poor celebs forced into this? Did any of them know what was going on? Did they receive cold in exchange for their participation? Many celebrities have shared their experiences in the comment section, so let’s start with Seth Rogen:

They asked me to do it and I said no.

Okay, so Seth Rogen, who presented Best Comedy Series at the Critics’ Choice Awards and starred in the film nominated for Best Picture. The Fabelmans, wanted nothing to do with the Cold Stone Wall when asked. It’s OK for me. Then we have comedian and talk show host Chelsea Handler, who posed in front of the wall, but her recollections of her experience were fuzzy.

Yes, I was there. And it happened so fast it was hard to tell what was going on until I saw a picture of me standing in front of a cold dairy.

As for whether or not anything was provided to celebrities who agreed to pose in front of the Cold Stone wall, last year’s lead actor Billy Eichner brothers (which can be streamed with a Peacock subscription), revealed that he got something in return.

They gave me a $100 gift card to Cold Stone.

Also, free ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery was handed out in this general area whether anyone posed in front of the wall or not, although apparently hardly anyone took advantage of the free dessert. We have crazy ex-girlfriend Yup RestartI have to thank Rachel Bloom for this information.

No one asked me to pose, but I can confirm that I was the only one who ate Coldstone for free!

Finally, pro skateboarder Tony Hawk wrote that HBO series star Henry Winkler berry these days, posing in front of Cold Stone’s wall was incentive enough for him to do the same.

Fonz gives a thumbs up, good enough for me.

Whether Cold Stone’s Wall was a hit or not is hard to say, so I guess we’ll have to regroup next year at the 29th Critics’ Choice Awards to see if it returns. Seeing something like this at the upcoming Oscars, on the other hand, seems like a pretty safe bet that something isn’t on the table. That free ice cream was a nice bonus, though, and I wonder if Amanda Seyfried could have had some, too, since she could have easily helped her feel a little better after a wardrobe malfunction forced her to improvise.

Keep checking 24 News Bulletin for more updates on the awards circuit. Those of you eagerly awaiting the Oscars will find out who the nominees are on Tuesday, January 24, and the ceremony airs on ABC on Sunday, March 12.
