Five days of tributes to Westminster

As tradition dictates, the coffin will be adorned with the imperial crown and a crown of flowers and will be transported in a carriage, a piece of wood and metal that usually supports a cannon or a heavy piece.

The members of the royal family, who will accompany the sovereign’s remains, will be supported by senior executives from the royal houses as well as staff members close to the queen.

Upon arrival at Westminster Hall, the coffin will be placed on a catafalque, a burial platform, and guarded by officers of the Home Divisionof the king’s bodyguard Or the Royal Company of Archers. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welb, will give a short service before the hall opens to visitors from 5pm (6pm in France).
