Beyond that, though, Shelton said she can stick with his music, after her idea for a dish to be served at his Ole Red bar was rejected over entirely legitimate concerns that it would look like a ” fried penis”.

Despite the embargo, this is not Blake Shelton’s only professional, who will open a sixth location at his Ole Red bar in Las Vegas at the end of 2023. I came up with the idea of a state chicken fried: Your chicken fried steak would be shaped like whatever state Ole Red is in, like Oklahoma or Tennessee. Something about it was putting people off, so I decided to stay out of the kitchen and let the pros do it. I think a state with fried chicken in the shape of Florida sounds good.
I can appreciate a good pun as much as the next person, but I also don’t want to think about the logistics of the “fried chicken state” and how cooks would shape chunks of meat into the shapes of Oklahoma, Florida, and Nevada. (Tennessee actually seems pretty doable in that regard.) The Oklahoma Panhandle would be his problem, but as Blake Shelton pointed out, the Orlando, Florida location might have more to worry about. He continued:
I cook a lot at home, but I make chicken fried steaks regularly, not in the US because the Florida way can be inconsistent when frying anything. They don’t want it to look like a fried penis on people’s plates. That’s a good point !
Can you imagine Gwen Stefani’s reaction when served a chicken fried steak in the shape of a Florida? Now that I have this image in my head, I fail to see how it NOT looks like a penis, other than adding food coloring to the pasta. But while the potential problems with such a restaurant dish are obvious, there’s no denying the publicity it would get Ole Red. I’d be interested in learning more about Blake Shelton’s culinary inspirations.
The ‘Come Back as a Country Boy’ singer will take his seat in the Big Red Chair for the last time in season 23, reuniting with his friendly rival Kelly Clarkson — who was absent last season — as well as Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan in his first season as The voice trainers .
