Saturday Night Live and Michael B. Jordan gave Southwest Airlines a thumbs up

Remember when Southwest Airlines canceled all those flights right after Christmas? Interested customers have certainly not forgotten it, and it certainly seems so Saturday night live also remember again. The classic late night show decided to target the airline yesterday, and they didn’t back down.

Host Michael B Jordan was joined by several cast members, who played various Southwestern employees in a fake commercial. At first they seemed to take responsibility and try to make things better, but as the announcement progressed it quickly became apparent that their solutions were just a little less dated than their predecessors. For those of you who may not be aware, or who haven’t traveled during the holidays, Southwest Airlines unleashed an all-time costly tsunami of airport chaos between December 21st and 29th. Some of the problems were originally caused by bad weather, but an outdated internal crew scheduling system led to widespread confusion and a domino effect that continued to escalate until the airline canceled more than 5,500 flights between 25 and 26 and another 2,300 in December. 28

Customers got stuck in airports. Luggage ended up all over the country and the company’s apology was not well received by those affected by the disaster. So it’s no surprise that viewers loved this Southwestern major. The skit quickly surpassed 100,000 viewers on YouTube and received a ton of positive responses on Twitter as well.

After a long break during the holidays, sl returned last week with Aubrey Plaza, who lit up the stage with his hilarious comedic timing and nodded to one of his beloved characters. This week, Michael B Jordan took his turn and, unsurprisingly, he’s performed extremely well in a variety of skits. including one about State Farm’s Jake.

SNL’s next incoming host is game of Thrones Yup the MandalorianPedro Pascal, who is obviously gaining even more fans right now. The Last of Uswhich premiered a few weeks ago on HBO and was recently renewed for a season 2. You can see him doing his shift on Feb. 4 at 11:30 a.m. ET.
