The Archewell Foundation, launched by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, has just published its first report for the years 2020 to 2022. As specified in this 24-page document, broadcast by the daily mailthe foundation raised $13 million, of which $3 million was donated to charity.
According to the report, the Archewell Foundation notably partnered with the Global Citizen organization to buy 12.6 million vaccines against Covid-19 and financed associations specializing in the reception of Afghan refugees, after the seizure of power by the Taliban in the country in 2021.
Food distribution, playground and scholarships.
In its report, the Archewell Foundation also claims that it has helped the NGO World Central Kitchen distribute 50,000 meals to residents of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic affected by climate disasters and has partnered with the city of Uvalde in the United States to build a playground, the day after the dramatic shooting that left 21 people dead at Robb Elementary School.
The document also states that Archwell helped fund 13 college fellows at Harvard’s Institute for Social Media Reboot.
However, this statement does not contain any details on the exact amounts paid by the Archewell Foundation to each of the associations. It is the first report of its kind produced by the foundation since its creation in 2020, after the withdrawal of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the British monarchy.
