9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4 premiered last week and, obviously, fans are eager to see what stories are on the horizon. One of the bigger questions, of course, has been whether or not the 126 will, at some point, cross over to the mainline 118 series. again. Amid the uncertainty expressed by fans on the matter, showrunner Tim Minear dropped some thoughts about the future of his first response drama.
The first major cross between 9-1-1 Yup lonely star aired two years ago and saw 118 travel to Texas to help fight a fire. The episode included many notable moments, one of which was TK’s speculation about Buck’s sexuality. There was also a mini crossover last season lonely star involving Athena. With all of that in mind, one can’t help but wonder about future mash-ups. Tim Minear told TV Line that there are some things planned, but nothing as big as the fire:
We have some niche crossover stuff coming up. If you remember, last year we did it with Athena in Los Angeles, helping Carlos and Grace close a case. I’m not saying we’ll do it again, but there’s one cross-pollination that maybe you haven’t come up with. It’s not the most obvious path in a crossroads, but there’s cross-pollination, come on.
While it would be nice to have a full crossover, it’s hard to deny that such events are difficult to coordinate both narratively and productively. Luckily, there seems to be some fun stuff still planned for fans, and I’m curious to see exactly what happens. Tim Minear has certainly put a lot of thought into how he wants to proceed in the future.
So far, this franchise has definitely found creative ways to cross-pollinate. Fans of the flagship will remember that the character Pepper, who pepper sprayed Santa Claus, later also appeared in the sister series, for example. In the future, however, I’d be more interested in learning more about Mateo’s cousin, who was mentioned in the crossover episode. Julian Works, who plays Mateo in the spinoff, appeared in an early episode of the second season of the show OG. like Marvin. Diving into this would be a smart way to solve a problem and maybe even create another “cool match” in a 9-1-1 Post up.
Given Tim Minear’s comments, we’ll have plenty of time to speculate on what might come next. 9-1-1 Through. One thing that can be said for sure is that it would be a shame if these two shows never had another big event at some point along the way. I mean, if the large number of NCIS extension Shows can make crossovers work (even if they all shoot in different locations), I don’t see why Fox’s procedures can’t do the same.
You can watch new episodes of 9-1-1: Lone Starwhich airs Tuesdays at 8:00 PM EST on Fox. Also, be sure to check out 24 News Bulletin’s 2023 TV show for details on other shows.
