The three missing Michigan rappers found dead

Detroit police found the bodies of Armani Kelly, Dante Wicker and Montoya Givens, three rappers who went missing after their concert was canceled on January 21.

What happened to Armani Kelly, Dante Wicker and Montoya Givens? The bodies of the three rappers, missing since January 23 in Detroit, after the cancellation of their concert on January 21, were found on Thursday, February 3. According to Michigan police, who have opened a homicide investigation, the frozen bodies of the three rappers were found in a “rat-infested” abandoned apartment complex turned squat in northwest Detroit.

An autopsy has yet to determine a cause of death, according to CNN, but they were “shot,” it says The Detroit News.

“Unresolved Questions”

“These autopsy results can take up to 48 hours due to the fact that in extreme cold conditions they may not be able to perform autopsies right away,” the Wayne County Medical Examiner told the American channel.

The northeastern United States is currently in the grip of a “polar vortex,” which causes freezing temperatures.

The phones of the three rappers had “ceased all activity” since January 22, according to police. The mother of one of the victims reported him missing the next day.

“We know that your concert has been cancelled. So we have a number of unresolved questions that we’re trying to find answers to,” Michael McGinnis, a local police figure, told CNN.

Armed robbery and vehicle theft

The three men would perform at a venue called Lounge 31 in Detroit. “Armani picked up Dante and Montoya on the way to the show, but it is believed the men learned the show was cancelled. No one has seen them since,” the wanted notice posted by Michigan police said.

Armani Kelly’s car had been identified near where their bodies were found.

The three men had met in prison, according to a Michigan Corrections spokesman, quoted by The Detroit News. Dante Wicker, Armani Kelly and Montoya Givens were serving sentences there from 2017 to 2022 for armed robbery for the first two and auto theft for the third.
