Orelsan, Little Simz, Lomepal or Apple: the We Love Green festival in Ile-de-France returns in June with a well-cared lineup. The first names were revealed on Monday, at the same time as the box office opening. After two editions canceled due to the health crisis (2020 and 2021), WLG had to give up its big Saturday night last year due to heavy rain and violent storms in the Paris region.
So the environmentally conscious festival returns June 2-4 to its Bois de Vincennes haunt with a lineup that lets you meet French festival heavyweights and other rarer artists in France.
Pomme, Lomepal, Orelsan, Dinos, PLK, Gazo, Phoenix, Bon Iver… In addition to these big names on the French and international scene, the English rapper Little Simz is a must.
british rising star
His last album, No, thanks, was released in December 2022, against all practices, as a huge nod to the music industry. Or a release on a Monday and not a Friday, the day that the music industry dedicates to a broadcast. And this, without being preceded by a single single or a promotional campaign as usual.
His first clip was over ten minutes long, actually mixing clips from different titles and their associated videos.
“Little Simz reminds me of Kae Tempest (another British artist with a maverick streak), not in the instrumental part but in the flow, extremely dense. The rebellion is clearly on her side”, Luc had commented at the time for AFP . Broussy, director of the music magazine Magic.
Veteran American rapper Pusha T is also one of the nuggets of the installment, as is another comeback, Jack Johnson. We Love Green had welcomed 80,000 people in total in 2019 during its last edition in optimal conditions.
