America’s Got Talent veteran Scott Alexander dies at 52

America has talent has hosted an array of incredibly talented performers over its 17 seasons. Some of them even manage to stay in the hearts and minds of viewers years after their stint on the show ends. That’s certainly true of Scott Alexander, a magician who appeared on the NBC staple show during its sixth season. Sadly, it has now been confirmed that Alexander has passed away at the age of 52.

The news of Scott Alexander’s death was confirmed by his wife Jenny, who served as his assistant during his tenure on the reality show. Mrs. Alexander made the announcement in a instagram post and in her caption, she explained that her husband passed away after suffering a stroke earlier this week. She said:

Yesterday I lost my husband. My children have lost their father. He suffered a stroke while working on a cruise ship in St. Kitts and didn’t come home. We are destroyed. Please pray for us. ❤️

It’s a devastating loss, and it becomes even more tragic when you consider that the AG extension alum was doing what he loved at the time of his death. Jenny Alexander’s post also included beautiful photos of her and her late husband along with their three children. You can see the message in full below:

In the years, America has talent (which can be transmitted with a peacock subscription ) welcomed more than a few magic experts and some have won . Some that come to mind are The Magician Season 16 Dustin Tavella AND rapper/freestyle illusionist Mervant Vera . Until recently, all Stars gave a Golden Buzzer to a 13-year-old magic fan Aidan McCann. Yet for all of his impressive feats, it could be argued that Scott Alexander is still a wizard who has truly left a lasting impression on the show.

The late magician, who revealed on his audition tape (via uh ) who began filming immediately after college, created a series of impressive illusions during the sixth season. One of his most famous acts saw him make his wife appear seemingly out of nowhere. The husband and wife team eventually made it to the Vegas round and then the quarterfinals. Although Mr. Alexander AG extension the journey would end there, still enthralling audiences with the illusion of a vanishing gospel choir. However, he would return as part of a double act in Season 7. Check out the feat in the video below:

During its run, Scott Alexander also appeared in the second season of Penn & Teller: Fool us in 2015. Much of the material from his shows and lectures has also been preserved in his youtube channel. Alexander leaves a great void in the wizarding world and will surely be missed by those who saw him America has talent or had the chance to see them on tour.

We at 24 News Bulletin offer our deepest condolences to Scott Alexander’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
