When you think of excellence in the world of sports, Michael Jordan is one of the first people who come to mind. The Chicago Bulls icon has collected numerous accolades throughout his playing career, including six NBA championships and five MVP trophies. The man is quite simply the definition of a basketball icon and much of his success can be attributed to his intensely competitive nature. It is this same passion that drives him to compete with his friends in various activities during his free time. And it turns out that this passion also opened up the opportunity for Anthony Anderson to beat Jordan in a sport other than basketball.
Anthony Anderson has been friends with Michael Jordan for some time and seems to know him quite well. The comedian opened up about his Hall of Fame relationship during an appearance The Kelly Clarkson Show . The main host convinced Anderson to reveal some details about Jordan. The actor finally confirmed that his friend was “competitive in everything”. Clarkson then asked Anderson if she had ever punched his friend about anything, and Anderson, who seemed humorously hesitant to share specific details, confirmed that she had, recounting the following story:
So I have two in my life. … We golfed in the Bahamas years ago and he gave me my shots. He’s a much better player than me, so he gave me my shots. But that day I beat him without punches. …And you know, it wasn’t a lot of real money, but it was enough money, like $900. And he balled up the money and threw it in my face and said he’d never be petted again. And since then he hasn’t given me my caresses.
They blackish The student is certainly aware that few people can say they beat Son Airness in any type of competition. (Personally I would shout it from the rooftops wearing a T-shirt that reads “I beat MJ”). But the actor is quite humble about his success in terms of “preserving” his friendship with the famous athlete. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if he occasionally (respectfully) takes away those bragging rights. You can check out a clip from the talk show look of the cartoon below:
Michael Jordan’s competitiveness has been talked about a lot over the years, and has also been extensively covered in the Emmy Award-winning ESPN docuseries, The Last Dance (which can be transmitted from a Netflix subscription .) Although Jordan initially didn’t want to do the series. , finally accepted and, in this document, did not hesitate to talk about what fueled him in the field. In particular, he made this point during the seventh episode finale of the series, when he delivered an impassioned monologue. You can see for yourself below:

People may have mixed opinions when it comes to your method, but honestly, you can’t argue with the results. Air Jordans did the job and in doing so she earned the respect of many of her colleagues. Even the legend of the Lakers Earvin “Magic” Johnson called him the “strongest” athlete. he has never seen. It’s hard to say exactly how that strength translates to recreational activities with friends, but based on what we know about him and Anthony Anderson’s comments, I’m sure the nba goat gives it all every time.
One thing I know for sure is that I never want to meet Michael Jordan on the golf course. it would probably end get “smoked” like JR Smith did when the two played Interestingly, Jordan’s former teammate, Scottie Pippen, thinks he can beat him in sports but given their feud, I don’t know if they’ll ever get together to test that theory. Though I’m sure there will be many more, like Anthony Anderson, who will take on the legend in hopes of surpassing him.
