Harrison Ford is still a huge star, but you don’t see him as often as he used to. A long time ago, the actor decided to slow down a bit and work at a slower pace, but two different streaming shows and a fifth recently launched. Indiana Jones The film is finally coming, we see much more of Ford than we use. It seems to be because the actor has gone crazy.
Speaking to THR, Harrison Ford recalled that more than 20 years ago he said he was happy to work on just one project a year. However, he recently made a big change to this by working on Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destinythey yellow stone prequel 1923and the comedy Apple TV+ Contraction with Jason Segal, all in fairly quick succession. When asked why, Ford explained that after not working so long during COVID, he felt the need to work harder. The actor said:
The simplest answer is probably the most truthful: After two years of sitting around during COVID and several years waiting for Indiana Jones to start, I hadn’t done as much work as I wanted to and wanted to do different things. . After [Shrinking] came along, and soon after came 1923. I took the job without a script for any of them, confident that the people who created the projects would deliver me a good script. I didn’t really realize how much work there would be in 1923, and I think it was worth it. I’m excited to do another season of both.
While Harrison Ford has found a remarkable level of fame and success with film franchises such as Star Wars AND Indiana JonesAs an actor, he was always ready to do different things. And Indiana Jones’ fifth film has been repeatedly delayed even before the pandemic, so if he had stuck to that project once it was done, he would have missed out on other things. .
For someone who previously only made one film a year, Ford clearly wanted to go out and do new things if he agreed to two different series without seeing the scripts for either. It is rather a statement supporting the makers of these shows that Ford believed all would be well.
And it seems that saying “yes” to these projects was the right decision. Ford says he hopes to stream more of the two series, and we know season 2 of 1923 is coming to Paramount+ subscribers. That means Harrison Ford fans will likely continue to see him more often, and if that means the actor ends up doing more than one project a year for a while, that’s fine by him.
