In the age of television where streaming has made it a little difficult to tell which shows are hits and which are not, Wednesday It was that rare sight of which there was no doubt. The show was an incredible success, setting viewing records for Netflix and becoming one of the most talked about shows on social media. But this level of success hasn’t come without the extremely hard work of star Jenna Ortega, who has seemingly worked at a near-constant pace to get it all done.
What is the program called? Wednesday, and the main character is in almost every scene of every episode, just shooting the show was a lot of work for Ortega, sure, but it was so much more. The star of any series or movie will have her work cut out for her when she takes on this big role, but for Jenna Ortega, it wasn’t just acting that drove her so much. She the actress said she was busy doing as much as possible on Wednesday what she was supposed to do on screen, which meant she started taking fencing and cello lessons before production began. There was probably dance practice too, of course.
The “Paint It Black” cello sequence was especially taxing for Ortega, which is apparently what led to the aforementioned hair pulling. Eventually the production started to time out, so doubles were sometimes used instead of Ortega, but if you can see Jenna Ortega playing the cello, it’s really her playing.

Or show up at my apartment, my cello teacher was already waiting for me. It happened constantly, and if I could on a weekend, if we weren’t shooting day 6 of that week, it was, ‘Okay, then we’re going to have your classes that day.’
Perhaps the reason why it took longer than expected to get the confirmation Wednesday In Season 2, Ortega wasn’t sure she wanted to relive all of this.
