Super Bowl LVII has many great stories for viewers to get involved in, but few are as sweet as the story of the Kelce brothers. Travis Kelce will be their tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, while Jason Kelce will play center for the Philadelphia Eagles. Both are already SB champions and obviously only one can win the big game this year. Before their match, the brothers opened up about what it was like to watch each other win previous titles.
Travis Kelce won the Super Bowl in 2020, just two years after Jason won with the Eagles. Jason Kelce briefly hinted at how it feels to see his brother Travis finally win a Super Bowl as he speaks New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce. He also explained how he compares to his experience of him winning the big game:
As a brother, it’s very different when your brother wins. And I think when you win a Super Bowl, there’s a tremendous amount of hypocrisy, and it’s like, ‘[grunts] It feels good.’ And to see your brother win, in a way, is better because it’s like watching a loved one achieve their dreams for the first time. It’s such an opposite feeling to winning that you can’t help but feel happy for someone you love who just did their best in their sport.
Before this insightful statement from his brother, Travis Kelce explained how he finally felt “on par” with his brother when he finally won a Super Bowl ring. However, Jason made it clear in the statement, noting that Travis was widely established as one of the best tight ends in the NFL of all time, even before his win. This part of the conversation amounts to a very classic exchange of ideas between the two brothers.
Though Travis noted his feeling of finally feeling “even” with his brother in the win, he was equally thrilled to see Jason Kelce win when the Philadelphia Eagles shocked the New England Patriots in 2018. When Jason asked if he cried seeing him WIN . the Super Bowl, Travis confirmed that he was crying even before the game was officially over:
I was yelling “Boo hoo” before the Ave Maria. At the Patriots game. i was like [mock crying], ‘They will! She did it! He went to Jabroni at the top!
It’s impossible to know how the Kelce brothers will react after Super Bowl LVII, though their amazing camaraderie on their shared podcast suggests their relationship will be fine no matter who becomes the two-time Super Bowl champion between them. Maybe in the podcast episode following the big game, they’ll just avoid talking about the event and instead focus on Rihanna’s epic halftime show and all the guest singers that will be performing as well. . Watch the sibling chat clip:
If you’re streaming the Super Bowl halftime show and expect to see the Kelce brothers go head-to-head in the big game, know that they won’t be sharing the field at the same time. Both brothers are up front for their respective teams, so one will watch from the bench when the other plays.
There won’t be any direct attacks on siblings throughout the game, but there are still plenty of reasons to tune in, even if you’re not fully into the game. John Travolta returns to his Fat role, Maya Rudolph as the new face of M&M’s and Ben Affleck working on Dunkin’ Donuts. Combine all of that with healthy brotherly love and it could end up being a Super Bowl for the ages. Can’t wait to see if Jason or Travis Kelce come out on top!
Super Bowl LVII airs on Fox and kickoff begins at 6:30 PM ET. Tune in to see the Kelce Brothers go head-to-head, then look forward to the return of Gordon Ramsay. higher level leaders right after.
