After weeks of teasing and teasing, Super Bowl LVII audiences finally got to see what they were waiting for. No, I’m not referring to Rihanna’s halftime performance, but rather the highly publicized Dunkin’ Donuts commercial starring Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Fittingly, the ad featured JLo “yelling” at Affleck and giving the Grammys Twitter flashbacks to the embarrassing moments they witnessed at the awards show.

For many, the moment could have come and gone without anyone giving it a second thought. For those who don’t know, it all started at the 2023 Grammys when Ben Affleck was seen on camera looking absolutely miserable. Though reports from attendees have since indicated that the pair didn’t seem upset with each other, that hasn’t stopped speculation that Bennifer was on the rocks, with other rumors and public reports included. . As hilarious as the jokes are, it matters to anyone taking them seriously that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez filmed this commercial long before their fateful Grammy moment. Affleck was first seen shooting the commercial in January. Not that it really matters to those who make jokes and keep tweeting jokes as fast as their fingers will go. There are even some slight conspiracy theories being dismissed as if the Grammy incident was just a show:

It really makes you wonder if fans of famous actors didn’t really know they were on camera when Trevor Noah was speaking at the Grammys or that they were just performing. If the timing of the Grammys was a ploy just to get people talking before a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial, this is about the most effective pre-game promo I’ve ever seen! Seriously, it was great to see the Hollywood power couple collaborate on a silly commercial and give the world more of what they were a part of to better appreciate it. Gigi.
