Britons continue to flock to pay their respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Due to the large crowd, access to the queue to see the sovereign’s coffin on display in Westminster Hall was suspended on Friday morning. “Do not try to join the queue before it reopens,” the Government specified at the time.
After several hours of closure, the queue was finally reopened. On the other hand, the estimated waiting time is now “greater than 24 hours”.
“Night temperatures are cold,” warn the authorities.
Opportunity to see the coffin until the funeral.
To enter the queue, everyone is given an electronic bracelet that indicates their position. This allows you to exit the queue to go to the bathroom, buy drinks and food, or stretch your legs before returning to your seat.
The Queen’s coffin arrived at Westminster Hall on Wednesday. She will remain there until Monday morning, the day of her funeral at Westminster Abbey.
