The tributes continue across the Channel. The public continues to gather in Westminster Hall, where the remains of the late queen rest. This Friday, due to the large crowd, access to the queue leading to the coffin was suspended, exceeding the 24-hour wait.
After King Carlos III and the other three children of the queen on Friday, it is the grandchildren’s turn to “watch over” the sovereign. Prince William, Prince Harry and six other cousins will gather this Saturday, with their backs to the coffin draped in the royal banner and adorned with the imperial crown.
Joe Biden expected in London
For the occasion, Prince Harry, the second son of King Charles III, deprived of his military titles after giving up his royal commitments in 2020, was authorized to wear the uniform. He will be at the foot of the coffin, when his brother, the new Prince of Wales will be at their head.
Two days before the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, scheduled for Monday, several international leaders are already traveling to London for the funeral. This is particularly the case with the Emperor of Japan or Joe Biden. The US president’s plane will arrive in the British capital this Saturday.
