Was there a royal cluster in London? Denmark’s Queen Margrethe II, 82, announced on Wednesday that she had tested positive for Covid. An announcement that comes just two days after the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey.
“Her Majesty The Queen tested positive for COVID-19 last night and is currently at Fredensborg Palace. Therefore, the Queen’s activities this week have been cancelled,” a press release read.
“Friday night at Christiansborg Castle for members of the Danish government, the Folketing (Danish parliament) and the European Parliament will take place with the Crown Prince and Crown Princess as hosts.”
Elizabeth II’s funeral on Monday was attended by 500 dignitaries from around the world, including French President Emmanuel Macron and his US counterpart Joe Biden.
