Last week the the last one Love is blind season began to unfold and a contestant, Zack, struggled to choose between two women: Irina and Bliss. Although the 31-year-old criminal lawyer ended up proposing to Irina and went to Mexico with her, it became clear that this match was not a good fit. So when it was announced ahead of this week’s episodes that he’d decided to meet Bliss, it was an exciting development for the Netflix series. However, what was going through Bliss’s mind during all of this?
Gossipify spoke to Bliss Poureetezadi as the latest batch of Love is blind episodes were made available to viewers with a Netflix subscription . During our chat about her own dating experience, Bliss talked about when she first met Zack in the restaurant scene that opens episode 6. In her own words:
It was crazy surrealism. All the revelations happened during the pod experience and it was the first time we met in person. It was in public, so there were all these other people there and it was intense and I was very, very nervous. But, the moment our eyes met and it was so corny and I was like, it’s just cliche and corny, but it’s actually true. Like it was such an intense connection. Like there was so much chemistry and it came together, this world fell apart, kind of like a cinematic experience. And I think you can see me smiling, but I’m trying not to smile.
Bliss’s recollection of first meeting Zack seems the opposite of Irina’s experience when they first met in person. During the first batch of Love is blind Season 4 episodes Irina immediately compared Zack to a “cartoon character” and asked him not to look into her eyes so much. However, it seems that sparks flew between Bliss and Zack when they first met, albeit not in the usual way. Love is blind contestants meet often. Bliss also opened up about the conversation they had.
He very eloquently explained what happened. And that really earned my trust and belief that he was honest. And so, I was ready to listen to it and I did. And things ended well, but it’s really a story about second chances and how we all deserve it. We all needed a second chance. So, I was ready to give him that chance.
In the last episodes of the fourth season (opens in a new tab), Bliss and Zack get a chance to explore their real-life connection and get a “second chance” to find the love they’ve been wanting. Looking back on the timeline between rejection and returning to the show, Bliss had this to say:
So I think Mexico was like, what, four or five days… It was a long time ago, but it wasn’t that long. Definitely no more than 10 days from when I left to when they contacted me. So fast enough. And you know, I was surprised that they reached out to me even though in my heart I feel like he knew I was his person and I feel like he knew it too. I didn’t expect to go back to the experience so it was really amazing.
Even if Zack didn’t make the right decision the first time around, it will be very exciting to see if he and Bliss choose to continue the experiment together and maybe even get married after Irina’s setback. Given the way Bliss has spoken about her connection to Zack, it seems like these two might have a chance to truly find their person in each other, even if their journey hasn’t been typical.
And, of course, there are four more couples we’ll be following this season: Tiffany and Brett, Micah and Paul, Chelsea and Kwame, and Jackie and Marshall, the latter being he had some very emotional moments at the beginning of his vacation in Mexico . last season, two of Love is blind couple season 3 they managed to get married and stay together, so there are definitely some real romances that come from the netflix dating show .
