Morello is even credited as a character, someone named Kimathi Stormhollow. But don’t worry if you missed it, because the co-directors of the new fantasy film confirm that if you blink, you might miss it. In addition to being one of the most innovative guitar wizards of our generation, Tom Morello is also a self-proclaimed Dungeons & Dragons junkie. He often performs with a celebrity band that includes (according to MetalSucks.net ) Joe Manganiello, Vince Vaughn and James Gunn. As co-director John Francis Daley told Gossipify at a recent press day:
It’s something that came from our amazing producer Jeremy Latcham, who has worked with (Morello) on Iron Man in the past. We knew Tom was a huge D&D fan and thought it would be fun to include him in the film.
So where is it? Co-director Jonathan Goldstein says Tom Morello can be seen in the stands during the arena battle in the film. And the directors say that Morello, that he was once approached on stage during one of his live performances, he gets a single take that is all about him. They also add that young Jude Hill, the star of Kenneth Branagh’s Oscar Belfast it can also be seen in the stands.
This means Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley have been bombarded with requests from celebrities to appear in theirs Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves? Not exactly, as Goldstein explains:
Not so much, because I don’t think they knew yet what was going to happen. And they are so worried about someone making the wrong version of their beloved game.
WELL, according to critics , Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves does well in the legendary game.
