Death of Queen Elizabeth II

At the age of 96, the exceptionally long-lived monarch, Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, died at her residence in Balmoral, Scotland. For several months, her state of health has been worrying. After a brief hospital stay, a canceled COP26 visit by Elizabeth II is forced to slow down. On September 8, the royal house published an unusual press release to make it known that her state of health “worried” her doctors. In power since 1952 and after the death of her father, King George VI, Queen Elizabeth II of England has since reigned over the United Kingdom, but is also generally the head of the Commonwealth, which includes 53 states. After marrying Philip Mountbatten in 1947, who became the Duke of Edinburgh, she had four children: Charles, Anne, Andrew, and Edward. Born in 1948, Carlos is the crown prince, called to succeed him at the head of the kingdom. As of 2015 she is the longest-reigning head of state in her country, surpassing her great-great-grandmother Victoria de ella, who led the Empire for more than 63 years. The King of the United Kingdom is now Charles.
