Older brother Brittany Hoopes, 24, walked into the house posing as a toy tester who works with children, but the public at home knew her real job as a hypnotherapist. Some fans have even joked that Brittany was trying to influence or “mind control” her other guests with a guided meditation, but luckily we can confirm that this was not the case.
Gossipify had the opportunity to send questions to Brittany as she prepared to enter the jury room before the finale, asking her if she was trying to use her knowledge of hypnotherapy to her advantage. Brittany’s response made it clear that she liked the idea of her and she revealed her true motivation behind hypnosis and guided meditation in the game:
[laughs] God, you know, I wish it worked like this! Not so, let me tell you. It doesn’t work that way. Actually, the reason I wanted to conduct the guided meditations is because this game is incredibly stressful mentally. We work our bodies, but we don’t do much for our minds. After seeing the cost I was charging to week 1 guests, I thought, ‘You know what? It was a skill I was going to hide and not share with guests, but I felt like it was something I had. What to do.
Brittany decided to expose her game a bit with her attempts to help the house and tried to ease the stress of the game for some. Week 1 ended with people mourn the sudden departure of Paloma Aguilar and weeks thereafter surprise highlights and even Indy Santos vomits after a great time. These are just a few of the highlights, like the ones that follow our roundup of Older brother season 24 or watch live broadcasts with yours Paramount + subscription I know a lot of other things have happened besides this.
Brittany went on to talk about the use of hypnosis and guided meditation sessions at home and how that could negatively affect her acting. That said, she Brittany added that she felt she had helped her in some way, but in no way could she use mind control:
It probably wasn’t great for my game, honestly. They all felt fine mentally after the guided meditations and hypnosis. But I knew it was something, even if it was bad for my game, that would help others feel better. And I will say that I think it has helped me build a certain level of relationship and trust with people. I wanted people to associate the sound of my voice with safety, trust, mental well-being. And hopefully this has played a part in the trust I’ve been able to build and the relationship I’ve been able to build in the game.
Brittany qualified for the Final Four, though her fate was largely sealed when she failed to secure another vetoed victory. Taylor Hale, Monte Taylor, and Matt Turner collectively agreed a deal with the last three, and while Taylor nearly tried to double it, Victory of Monte’s veto prevented this from happening. He cast the only vote to send Brittany to the jury, which could cost him a vote from her in the future.
The good news for Brittany is that she won’t have to wait long once she gets to the jury, and the Older brother The season 24 finale is just days away from his expulsion. There, she and others will decide which of the last two guests is the most deserving winner. There can be drama as well, so hopefully Brittany will be available for a post-final guided meditation for everyone involved.
