The Ministry of Higher Education and Research launches this Thursday, December 21, a “free and confidential listening platform” for students “in situations of discomfort.”
Called Cnaé (National Student Support Coordination), the platform “allows you to come into contact with psychologists and social workers who provide listening and support freedom of expression.”
Guide students
“It will help guide students to appropriate resources and pathways, and improve their orientation toward one of the existing systems and actors in this field,” specifies a press release.
You can now contact the line at 0 800 737 800 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. It is the feminist association En Avant Tous that is responsible for this.
The principle is similar to that of the Nightline association, which created a free and anonymous helpline run by students in 2016.
While the mental health of young people has deteriorated in 2023, more than 40,000 students have received support as part of the Student Psy Health system, which allows them to benefit from eight free sessions with a psychologist.
