The National Refoundation Council (CNR) on mental health promised by Emmanuel Macron will take place next June and July, according to the Ministry of Health.
“This mental health CNR (…) will allow the promotion of all the initiatives of the territories and civil society to provide innovative and local responses,” the ministry stated in a press release.
“Special attention will be paid to the mental health of young people (children, adolescents and students), which the Prime Minister announced was one of his priorities,” the ministry added.

The inaugural session will take place on Wednesday, June 12 in the Ile-de-France region, he stated, without indicating the exact location. The appointment calendar was also not immediately available.
A health CNR was already held under the leadership of François Braun, then Minister of Health, which ended in May 2023, after 250 meetings throughout the country.
According to François Braun, it is in particular this CNR Santé that has allowed nurses to sign death certificates, a practice that is already operational.
The CNR are intended to be a new method of consultation between the State, communities, unions and associations. They come from a promise made by Emmanuel Macron during the 2022 legislative election campaign.
The mental health RNC was announced by Emmanuel Macron in September 2023, during a third national RNC, boycotted by the opposition and some unions.
