Sophie Primas is not in the secret of the “first” that Emmanuel Macron could announce on Tuesday, May 13 on the occasion of his speech in a special TF1 program. On the other hand, the government spokesman, interviewed by RTL on Monday, can affirm “that the issue of citizen consultation is an issue that will probably go to the table during its interview.”
For several days, this possibility has been in the air. The President of the Republic had announced, during his wishes for the year 2025, that he would ask the French to “decide” certain decisive issues. However, the contours of these possible ads are still lazy.
End of life, screens, territories …
“Will they really referendums? Will they be citizen consultations? Will it be types of votes? I don’t know about issues either,” said Sophie Primas.
“Why not the end of life, why not the screens, why not the territorial reform,” however, lists the former LR senator, saying that “there are many issues on the table, in the air.”
What about a French consultation on the trajectory of public finances? Desired by François Bayrou and rejected by a good part of the political class, the proposal received a warm reception in Emmanuel Macron’s entourage.
However, this theme “is not a dead letter”, opposes Sophie Primas. “This is a proposal that the prime minister made to the President of the Republic. This is one of the issues on which it will be expressed, or not, tomorrow night.”
Titled “Emmanuel Macron – The Challlens of France” and starting at 8:10 pm, the TF1 program will be organized by Gilles Bouleau and will be related to national and international news.
The 15-minute debates will oppose the president and general secretary of the CGT Sophie Binet on the issue of pensions, the mayor of Béziers Robert Ménard on security, the liberal essayist Agnès Verdier-Molinié on public finances, as well as the specialist in the surroundings of Salome.
In addition, several figures will challenge Emmanuel Macron by video, including Tibo’s inshape, but also the journalist Charles Bietry, who suffers from Charcot’s disease and whose voice is reproduced by artificial intelligence.
