A family decided to attack the French state after the poisoning of its two children in the Escherichia coli (or E. coli) bacteria in the Aisne. Like them in total, 32 people were intoxicated, mainly children, after the consumption of meat of buticultures in the city of Saint-Quentin.
Today, the children of this family “are fine at the physical level, less good at the psychological level,” he assures BFMTV this Thursday, July 10, his lawyer Maître Emmanuel Ludot. “But we escaped from drama and fortunately they escaped.”
There are not enough means given to the prefecture
They spent a little more than a week in care after their poisoning. With his lawyer, the family decided to attack the State.
“A bacterium like that, never happens by chance, there are always multifactorial causes,” explains Emmanuel Ludot. “The State cannot be explained in the checks it should have done.”
The lawyer denounces the lack of “traceability of this meat”, in butcherías “that have never been reviewed.” “Apparently, there may never have been checks.”
“There are no unexpected inspections, we do not verify the status of the cooling systems or the conditions under which this meat is preserved.”
