The Government announced on Tuesday, August 12, August 12, a wide wave of pasteurized milk cheese reminders due to a “possible link” with the detection of 21 cases of Listeriosis, including two mortals. Among the target cheeses, a large amount of Camemb as but also coulommiers and trunks.
Therefore, the target products are all soft cheeses with a flowery cortex with pasteurized cow or goat milk, which were marketed until August 9, 2025.
More than 40 products from different brands are concerned, but all come from the Chaverand Cheese lactea located in the Creuse. Many distributors are also affected by these reminders, such as Lidl, Carrefour, Auchan, Leclerc, or but also fresh, norm, run and clean.
Several interested brands
Camemberts, Coulommiers and other creamy of the Belle de France brand are removed from the market, but also the “small fields”, the goat registration, the “double” and several cameemb as of the Silver Oak brand.
Other cheeses of the same type of brand also worry about the Chaignet, like the Camembert of the Saveurs d’Atan brand and the Berger brand coulommiers.
The list also includes soft cow cheeses and two squares. It is also a Gorgonzola spoon, sold in fresh stores and large costs, as well as a Mariotte brand Brie.
Cases of Listeriosis detected refer to people from 34 to 95 years. Among them, 18 cases have been reported since the beginning of June. One of the two people who died after the contamination demonstrated by Listeria’s bacteria had underlying pathologies.
