Covid-19: the rules on mandatory isolation and tests for light contact cases

The new rules no longer impose from February 1 more mandatory isolation for people who test positive for Covid or the carrying out of a test for the contact persons of the case, although this continues to be recommended by the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Health announced this Saturday in a press release a series of reductions in the regulations related to Covid-19. They are expected to come into force this Wednesday, February 1. However, the standards currently in force are still “recommended”.

Among the planned developments, the ministry indicates that people who test positive for Covid-19 will no longer need to self-isolate and asymptomatic case contacts will no longer need to be tested.

“Systematic isolation for people who test positive for Covid-19 and screening on the second day of notification of contact status for asymptomatic contact persons will no longer be necessary,” the ministry says. .
