Faced with the violence suffered by health professionals, Agnès Firmin Le Bodo, Delegate Minister for Territorial Planning and Health Professions, announced this Friday that a fight plan will be launched by summer.
A consultation will take place during the first half of 2023 before finalizing in May, he said in a press release. The first plenary meeting of the consultation will be held on February 16 at the ministry and will mark the start of work.
Nathalie Nion, Senior Health Manager at APHP, and Dr. Jean-Christophe Masseron have been designated to ensure that this consultation is carried out correctly.
37% of hospital health professionals assaulted regularly
“It is essential to trust health professionals, as well as all the actors and actors involved in the safety of caregivers to think of effective measures that correspond to their expectations and their daily limitations”, explains Agnès Firmin Le Bodo.
“Special attention will be paid in particular to the protection of caregivers who work outside health facilities and to support for victims”, continued the Delegate Minister.
In France, 37% of health professionals in hospitals state that they regularly suffer physical attacks. This figure rises to 84% for caregivers, according to the MNH-Odoxa 2022 barometer. The National Observatory of Violence in the Health Environment (ONVS) identified 19,328 reports of attacks on people or property in 34,550 professionals who were victims of this violence.
