Is there something wrong with the Europe-Ecology-The Greens (EELV) research unit? While the party’s national secretary, Julien Bayou, resigned on Monday, questioned by his former partner accusing him of psychological violence, another testimony again corners this listening cell specialized in sexist and sexual violence.
With franceinfo, an anonymous activist confesses this Friday that she also spoke with members of this structure to report the sexual assault of which she would have been a victim in the summer of 2020 within the party. But she says the person she points to in her report, an Ile-de-France executive, was notified less than two days after her story.
“One of the members of the cell contacted my aggressor to tell him that I had filed a complaint,” he explains.
“I was afraid that he would come and harass me”
The rest, according to what he tells our colleagues, is a barrage of messages and calls from his alleged aggressor. “I was afraid that he would come to harass me at home. I did not think that by entering the cell, my assailant would be protected by a certain number of people, ”he explains.
With franceinfo, one of the members of the cell admitted to having warned the executive in question of the existence of a report after a collective decision, without giving a name, he says.
“It was more difficult, the treatment of my case, than the aggression itself, in a way,” the activist estimates today, adding that other victims are reluctant to testify after hearing about the management of this report. Her alleged attacker was suspended and resigned in December 2020, according to information from franceinfo.
