Four years before the 2027 presidential elections, the image of Marine Le Pen, president of the RN group in the National Assembly, continues to improve, according to the conclusions of a survey by Elabe for BFMTV published this Thursday. Nearly one in two respondents now believe she is capable of “uniting the French” (47%) and “has the necessary qualities to be president” (48%).
If 71% of French people still consider her “authoritarian” and 51% declare themselves “concerned”, the majority of those surveyed also believe that the far-right deputy is “brave” (67%), “dynamic” (66 %) and “he really wants to change things” (61%).
“Marine Le Pen’s image is improving in most sectors of the population, and especially among retirees,” underlines Elabe. 69% of them consider it “dynamic”, compared to 51% of young people between 18 and 24 years old.
“The country will be more divided than today”
Of the total population, 32% of those surveyed consider that Marine Le Pen would obtain better results than Emmanuel Macron in the Elysee. “This opinion “is increasing mainly among retirees (33%, +13) and among French people who have difficulty making ends meet (40%, +13),” says Elabe.
However, the French surveyed only trust Marine Le Pen “to lead a good policy” on security (58%) and immigration (55%).
In all other areas analyzed, respondents do not trust him in matters of education (51%), health (53%), purchasing power (54%), environment and ecology (63%) or the management of the crisis in Ukraine (64%). .
Furthermore, 60% of French people believe that if Marine Le Pen and the National Rally come to power, “the country will be more divided than today.” More than one in two respondents (55%) also believe that “this would damage France’s international image.”
