Presidential 2027: Philippe could beat Le Pen for 6 out of 10 French people, well ahead of Darmanin and Le Maire

BFMTV POLL – Former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe seems to be the only one with enough credibility to beat Marine Le Pen in the eyes of the French, according to an Elabe survey this Thursday.

In all opinion polls, Marine Le Pen leads voting intentions for the first round of the next presidential elections. According to a poll by Elabe for BFMTV published this Thursday, 61% of French people believe that the National Rally deputy can even win the elections.

In 2027, however, 58% of respondents believe that former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe could defeat the representative of the far-right party, well ahead of Gérald Darmanin (32%), Bruno Le Maire (31%), Gabriel Attal (30%). ) and Jean-Luc Mélenchon (27%).

“The victory of Édouard Philippe against Marine Le Pen is a probable scenario for the majority of voters,” notes the Elabe institute.

Marine Le Pen voters also believe that none of the twelve personalities examined could defeat the potential candidate of the National Rally. Apart from Édouard Philippe, the latter range between 20% (Gérald Darmanin) and 6% (Fabien Roussel and Sandrine Rousseau).

Finally, Sandrine Rousseau (11%), Fabien Roussel (16%) and Eric Zemmour (16%) are the personalities that all respondents consider least capable of defeating Marine Le Pen in the second round of the 2027 presidential elections.

François Ruffin (17%), Bernard Cazeneuve (21%), Laurent Wauquiez (24%) and Xavier Bertrand (26%) are not doing much better.
