As expected, Manuel Bompard is not convinced by the interview given by Emmanuel Macron this Sunday. Guest of BFMTV-RMC, the coordinator of La France insoumise denounces this Monday “total bricolage and total amateurism” in matters of “purchasing power.”
“All this is ridiculous, the Government and the President of the Republic are going crazy,” continues the deputy from Bouches-du-Rhône, who once again calls for “a blocking of prices and margins.”

This Sunday, the President of the Republic asked distributors to sell at “cost price” and no longer at a loss, as Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne had indicated the previous week, before this announcement became a fiasco. “We must put an end to this logic of appeal, of enchantment, we need laws, norms, we have the possibility of doing it,” responds Manuel Bompard.
And the fuel subsidy mentioned by Emmanuel Macron, which can reach “100 euros per car per year”, and limited to “workers who need to drive”? The rebel says ironically: “I think people will take to the streets to thank the President of the Republic for granting them a handout of 100 euros. […]while the price of fuel has increased almost a third since two years ago.
