“I want to say it in all letters today: the government is destroying the SNS. There are two reasons for this and neither is good: the government is destroying the SNS in the name of business and it is destroying the SNS for an absolutely irresponsible budgetary obsession,” he stated.
During an intervention during a lunch held in the framework of the Climate Forum – from Europe to the Algarve initiative, at the University of Algarve, in Faro, the BE leader wondered how to tackle the ‘stubbornness’ of the government, that she knows, must explain. destroys the SNS.

“The SNS is being destroyed day after day and I guarantee you that this is not due to incompetence. It is not due to the incompetence of the government. The government knows what everyone knows, the government sees what everyone sees,” he reiterated the BE coordinator. .
According to Mariana Mortágua, the Prime Minister “knows very well where the millions he swears to have injected into the SNS are going. And he also knows that it is much more expensive to pay the private sector for the service that the public cannot provide. .”
The BE leader also accused Health Minister Manuel Pizarro of acting arrogantly when he “credits the SNS to attack its professionals,” saying that his arrogance “is on top of the 12 million overtime hours,” only until August. .
