Livre saw its proposed amendment to the 2024 state budget (OE2024) approved on Friday, which aims to update the electoral rolls next year.
On the second day of voting on budget amendments, deputies of the Committee on Budget and Finance (COF) introduced a measure providing that “in 2024 the government will update the electoral rolls”.
Livre also received a ‘green light’ for a proposal that foresees the government’s strengthening of the Commission’s access to administrative documents next year, “providing the necessary legal and human resources to ensure compliance with the sanctions regime provided for in the Law on Access to Administrative Documents (LADA)”.
It was also included in the budget, thanks to the adoption of a proposal from Livre, which the government, in the context of the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (ENCC), “adopts the necessary initiatives to optimize capacity and strengthen cooperation between sectoral administrative inspections and criminal police authorities specialized in the field of prevention and repression of fraud against the financial interests of the State, corruption and economic-financial crime”.
In this context, the COF has enabled a similar measure to the PAN, as well as another guaranteeing the public disclosure of a monitoring report on the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2020-2024.
