The 2024 State Budget (OE2024) is a right-wing political budget that workers reject in parliament.
In the speech that the CGTP leader delivered to thousands of workers who gathered this Wednesday in protest against the OE2024 proposal, on the day of the last global vote, Isabel Camarinha said that “a budget for right-wing politics, for a policy that leaves the profits and privileges of the minority untouched”.
And he continued: “It is a budget for a policy that can be adopted within the country, but which we reject here because of its content and possibilities, because it lacks measures that value work and workers, improve public services and ensure greater social justice and cohesion. territorial”.
Isabel Camarinha also said that we are facing a budget of “right bills” with another 14.8% in resources for tax breaks for major economic groups, with more than a billion for public-private road partnerships. “the path to impoverishment and the weakening of public services to guarantee profits and new business for big capital”.
Over the course of four days of debate and voting on the specialty OE2024, which secured the approval of the Socialist absolute majority, more than 200 amendments were approved, the majority of which, unsurprisingly, came from the PS.
